There are really two approaches – First, you can have an exit strategy where you move money to safety. the key is to limit the amount invested in any type of stock funds. Second, you can use bear market mutual funds as an alternative asset class. The challenge is that these types of funds need to be managed.

I lost over a hundred thousand in this falling of the stock market in my 401k. I have the abillty to move my money into something else like Bear market in stocks? What can I do before the market falls again not to lose such a large amount? help Vince
